Village of Eternity
By gooddevi. Filed in Tourism Object |A village in Italy, which lies between the City of Rome and Naples, was the talk. Not because of this beautiful old villages and old buildings are still preserved. Not because just a comfortable atmosphere, right in the middle of the mountains Aurunci, but the matter of population, not as friendly residents, friendly’s for sure, but this problem of age. Age of residents in this village was apparently quite magical. They are the people with the age of the oldest life on Earth. The mean population Campodimele lived until the age of 95 years!. The term, residents in the village of old Campodimele is durable.
That’s why as a thousand-year-old village is among the tourists called this area the ‘village of eternity’. Almost all the citizens are elderly people. What makes them durable old?
Author Tracey Lawson who had lived in the village for a year trying to find out. First, he thought that old durable factor is the situation in villages that are remote and stress free. You can enjoy the village with a subtle and peaceful atmosphere.
“Once I got there, I immediately fell in love,” said Lawson. “My life there was different. I seemed to have a quiet rhythm. The village was made,” he said again.
Not just a mood apparently. Quizzed had inquired, Lawson thought the secret old villager is durable thanks to their food. Of course it was a typical Italian food, such as pizza and pasta. But there are others.
Secondly, this is the thesis of Lawson. There is something in a unique cuisine Campodimele population. “I believe they are old preserved because the ingredients are fresh and local food,” said Lawson.
Even if you order goat meat at the restaurant, they do not use goat meat from the market. They raise their own goats or wild goat hunting in the hills, an automatic fresh goat meat.
There are two main food festivals in this village. First is the festival cicerchie. Cicerchie is a kind of nuts a typical village. It was sweet but it smells weird. During the festival month of August, residents cook cicerchie en masse in the streets of the village.
Then there are festivals Laine e fagioli. This is a festival of pasta. The pasta is really natural, only made of water and flour, different from the usual pasta recipes, flour and eggs.
